Though only one wide receiver will be available for the foreseeable future, the Los Angeles Rams were thrilled to have their one-two punch on the field to start the season. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Puka Nacua suffered a PCL injury against the Detroit Lion on Sunday Night Football. Depending on how the injury heals, he may miss five to seven weeks of play.
In the overtime loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday night, Nathanua re-injured his knee, and last week, Schefter said, he was placed on injured reserve. “Head coach Sean McVay of the Rams stated that Nacua might be placed on injured reserve, which would keep him out of action for the statutory minimum of four weeks. The Rams’ Week 6 bye means that the second-year player might make his debut as early as Los Angeles’ Week 7 home game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
However, sources reportedly claim that the Rams are considering whether to risk Nacua’s availability for the games against the Raiders and the Minnesota Vikings the following Thursday night at home.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network mentioned that Nacua might not play again until Week 9 of the current campaign.
It’s likely that we won’t see him until Week 9 on November 3. This is due to the fact that he will be away for a minimum of four weeks, followed by a bye, a Sunday game, and a brief Thursday game. It’s difficult to believe the Rams would get him back so quickly, Rapoport added.
